Mark Chapman was all for Holden Caulfield and anti-phoniness campaign. So much so that the madman went all the way to stop John Lennon in his tracks .
This piece of news (from wikipedia )floating in the information superhighway was one of the main thing which led me to start reading “The catcher in the Rye”.
I had heard about the book from many a friends earlier but it finally took this incident for me to start reading it
Quite a interesting book about Holden Caulfield ,as he gives a first person narrative of his life, his views on transitioning to adulthood and about phony human interactions. The main protagonist is depressing for most of the book.
A more detailed analysis of the book would follow once i finish reading the same.
