I finally bought my first real six String…………………

In this cruel and fast world, you need to have a pressure valve to relive the tensions you face along. And what better way to relax than music. Being blessed with real bad vocals, my only hope to involve myself with the Music world was to learn some unobtrusive instrument without much effort.

Guitar fitted the bill perfectly. One of the supposedly easier string instrument, with plenty of self study material on the world wide web. I had this in mind for a few years now. But till now it just there ,because I just didn’t want to waste my precious weekend time for that.

Finally I heard there Guitar classes being within our extended workplace after office hours. I didn’t want to miss out on this opportunity. So within a day of the news reaching me,I was ready with a Jumbo electro acoustic guitar from Givson Kolkota,a brand probably trying to use the popularity of Gibson brand.(it doesn’t matter to me ,as for the beginner you are looking out for the cheapest option and Messers Givson just fitted in right).

So soon hope to master what the six simple strings throw out ….....

But not this game,not tonight.....

The Miracle starring Kurt Russell is a sports drama. One of the best.
It showcases the 1980 Winter Olympics where the rookie US ice hockey team upsets the Soviets who were a far superior and supposedly unconquerable team.

The Motivational speech just before their rendezvous with Soviets in Olympics is one of the best motivational monologues I have heard. It goes like

"Great moments are born from great opportunity.

And that's what you have here Tonight, boys.
That's what you've earned here tonight.

One game.

If we played them ten times, they might win nine.
But not this game.
Not tonight.

Tonight we skate with them.
Tonight we stay with them.
And we shut them down
because we can.

Tonight we are the greatest hockey team in the world.

You were born to be hockey players.
Every one of you.
And you were meant to be here tonight.
This is your time.
Their time is done.
It's over.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Soviets have.
Screw them.

This is your time.
Now, go out there and take it.

Hold up here a second, guys.
We're just gonna wait for the okay.
Yeah.
We're all set.
All right.

Go ahead and send them in.
It's time.
-Let's go."

PS:Its was reported that the Indian team was shown this movie ,just before the SA tour of 2006 for motivating the Indian team.India went on the lose the ODI series 4-0.
"Some things look good only on a TV."

Everyone hates Sanjaya Malakar

Who's Sanjaya Malakar?

There would hardly any one in The US of A who wouldn't recognize this name. This US citizen of Indian origin seems to have captured the imagination of the US public. They call him a part of mass conspiracy to defame American idol. They say he is a man stretching his luck. Some say he is someone with genuine charisma.
Love him or Hate him, there is no denying One just can't ignore him.

Sanjaya Malekar is, reportedly abysmally untalented American Idol contestant ,who has some how managed to remain in fray as the completion as boiled down to last 6 stage.

There are various theories floating around ,on why he is still there, like

1) His boyish charm and composure amidst all the negative criticism from the judges are getting him the vote from adoring Teenagers and sympathetic mamas

2)"The People who have ganged up to kill the credibility of the show have ganged up to "Vote for the Worst Candidate" which luckily for Sanjaya happens to be him. They include the votefortheworst website and Radio presenter Howard stern himself.
“. (I really like this one ...)

3) The Simon Cowell Baiters have put their weight behind Sanjaya. Simon Cowell had slightly jumped the gun and announced that he would rather resign than see Sanjaya become the Indian Idol.(Now it remains to be seen what Simon would do, if Sanjaya Actually goes on to win the title

3) And finally the theory put forth on a lighter note by "Jay Leno" in his Tonight Show. Sanjaya is winning because all call centers are being operations are being handled by Indians (mmm ...a slightly racial undertone here)

In a month and half it would be seen whether, Simon would get to remain in the show or would Sanjaya have the last laugh.

Will keep you updated ion the latest....

'Then it doesn't matter which way you go

"'Cheshire Puss,' she (Alice) began... 'Would you tell me, which way I ought to go from here?'

' That depends a good deal on where you want to get to', said the cat.

' I don't much care where...' said Alice.

'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the cat.
